I was born and raised in Gwinnett County and moved around the state for college. After graduation Craig and I settled down in Decatur in 2005. Growing up in the 'country' of Gwinnett County, we always had animals around. Our family pets included dogs, cats, goats, fish, rabbits and a hamster. Once we moved to Decatur we were introduced to the pet overpopulation issues and quickly saw the need to became foster parents for Animal Action Rescue. Through them, we have fostered countless homeless dogs and have helped them find safe, loving homes. As a result, we have built our fur family to include 5 loving rescue pups (Mama Pearl, Blanche, Jane, Veda & Randall). Craig and I started Petmeisters after returning home from living and working in the small island nation of Samoa. We were soul searching on what we wanted to do now that we were back home and neither of us were wanting to go back to our old jobs. I started pet sitting and fell in love with it from day one. Who doesn't like endless belly rubs, kitty kisses, and furry clothes. Ten years later, I am still in love with the job and consider myself so lucky to be able to love on everyone's pets while they are away.
